Energy and Self Expression
Modern science , confirming a discovery of the ancient seers, tells us that the whole world is composed of energy. Planet Earth is teeming with an infinite multitude of forms--living forms like the tree and the child and ÂnonlivingØ forms like the crystal and the seashore--and each of these forms is a vast reservoir of latent and manifest energy.
Often that energy is hidden beneath the surface, where it lies unobserved and unknown until an event comes that releases it and brings it forth into self-expression. Then we suddenly become aware of an enormous power in potential. Archimedes demonstrated 2000 years ago the exhilarating energy of a new idea, when on making a great intellectual discovery he ran out of house naked shouting "Eureka! Eureka!" (I found it). Scientific experiments earlier in the last century first demonstrated the enormous physical energy pent up in each atom. Recent events in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Russia, and of course, 9/11, have revealed the awesome human energy of a long suppressed people surging to Freedom.
Accomplished Yogis and Yoginis discover all these great sources of energy within them--the mental energy of a thinker, the emotional energy of a lover, the nervous energy of the explorer or warrior, and even the physical energy of the atom. They open to the Universal energies of life around them and come in contact with spiritual energies from higher planes of conscious existence. They discover a living, vibrant, warm, blissful energy in every contact and in all things. Blessed Be!
Energy is essential for accomplishment and fulfillment in any field of life. The results of our acts depend on our strength, and our strength depends on our energy. Energy is the fuel for all work, the basis for all achievements. The greater the energy, the greater the greater the achievement. That is why high energy people are the most successful. How is it that in spite of the vast energy that creates and pervades our being and the entire Universe, we as natures most evolved species so often experience its very opposites--fatigue, exhaustion , and incapacity? Where has all that energy gone? What has happened to the inexhaustible energy we had as children?
The answer, may be that we are still packed with that energy and it is available to anyone who seeks it. Children exhibit the natural energy which is in all human beings when they are born. It is not so much age that deprives us of this energy, but the things we collect along the way. The natural energy of our being is absorbed in our habits, opinions, preferences, attitudes, fears, and countless other precious possessions which we gather and call our own. Each of these elements is a rigid form containing a deep pocket of energy. Break the form and the original energy pent up inside will get released. Just simply lets start Loving Ourselves!
I have collected a little list of authors and musicians from which we can learn more about Energy. We hope to explore this question more in our Newsletter--60s Splash, please help us with your own insights and subscribe and Email us your views and personal philosophies to: E-mail

Before Time Was
"Before time was, there was The One; The One was all, and all was The One. And the vast expanse known as the universe was The One, all-wise, all-prevading, all-powerful, eternally changing.
And space moved. The One molded energy into twin forms, equal but opposite, fashioning the Goddess and God from The One and of The One.
The Goddess and God stretched and gave thanks to The One, but darkness surrounded them. They were alone, solitary save for The One.
So They formed energy into gasses into suns and planets and moons; They sprinkled the universe with whirling globes and so all was given shape by the hands of the Goddess and God. Light arose and the sky was illuminated bya billion suns. And the Goddess and God, satisfied by their works, rejoiced and loved, and were one. From their union sprang the seeds of all life, and of the human race, so that we might achieve incarnation upon the Earth.
The Goddess chose the Moon as Her symbol, and the God the Sun as His symbol, to remind the inhabitants of Earth of their fashioners.
All are born, live, die and are reborn beneath the Sun and Moon; all things come to pass thereunder, and all occurs with the blessings of The One, as has been the way of existence before time was."

Auras
What is an Aura?
The human aura is an energy field that reflects the subtle life energies within the body. These energies make us what we are and in turn are affected by our surroundings and life style. The aura reflects our health, mental activity and emotional state. It also shows disease - often long before the onset of symptoms.
Close to the skin is the etheric aura. It is seen as a pale, narrow band that outlines the body, usually no more than half an inch wide. It looks like pale smoke clinging to the body. This is the visible part of the etheric body in it's contracted state. During sleep the etheric body expands greatly and opens to absorb and store cosmic energy. The etheric is better named the vitality sheath or energy body. After sleep it contracts, forming a dense sheath around the body close to the skin. The main aura is banded around the body - strata like. Imagine a person with thick, coloured hoops of light dropped over them and you get the idea. These colours emanate from the chakras. Basic energy is drawn up from the planet through the feet and fed into the chakras, much like a plant does with water. Each chakra is a transformer that generates energy of a different type and colour. The strength of each chakra depends on the person's nature and life style. Together these chakras generate the dominant hue of the aura.
The main aura is photo-sensitive, it reacts and expands in light. The aura's chakra system can be likened to a tree. Energy/nutrient is drawn up through the feet/roots and fed through the body/trunk to the chakras/leaves.Many experts suggest people can be classed by the basic hue, or the dominant colour, of their aura. For example, Blue means a highly spiritual person, trustworthy, honest. Orange means an emotional type of person etc... I have found this to be misleading. The aura is a complex and changeable engine and cannot be judged so simply.
The aura is sensitive to colour. It reacts to the colours of clothing and to that of its surroundings. This accounts for our natural likes and dislikes when it comes to choosing the colours that surround us.
The effect of colour on the emotions is well known and are they widely used in hospitals and institutions to calm agitated people and put them at ease. Pink is the most frequently used colour for this. It is the emotional colour of love and happiness. Watch a mother's aura when she first looks into the eyes of her new baby, and falls head over heels in love. At that special, happy moment, you will see this most lovely of auras in all its glory. There is a whole science devoted to the use of colours. This is called Colour Healing or Colour Therapy.
It is impossible to get a clear view of the aura through clothing. The auric colours of the clothes react with the person's aura, causing interference that blocks and changes it. For example: A Blue shirt will flood the natural aura with Yellow. Even neutral coloured clothing will block and dim the aura making it difficult to see.by Robert Bruce

Common Aura Colors
The following is a list of aura colors that are associated with the
person's conscious and subconscious state. The color spectrum varies
with a person's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states.
Red: The color of strength, passion, impulsiveness and will.
Orange: Color of affection, kindness, and creativity. The muddier
shades denote vanity, while golden orange represents self-control.
Someone with orange in his/her aura may suffer from kidney troubles.
Yellow: Mental activity, optimism, perfectionism, responsibility,
sometimes shyness.
Green: The color of sympathy and reliability. The person may be an
effective healer. Dark shades of green however indicate one who is
jealous or hesitant.
Blue: The color of calm, and spiritual and material attainment. May
sometimes represent a tendency to moodiness and depression.
Indigo/Violet: The colors of the seeker who has inborn psychic and
intuitive abilities. They represent an astounding ability in the
handling of practical matters. Dark shades may show that the person
is often misjudged and misunderstood. May indicate heart or stomach
trouble.
Black: The color of self-protection. The person is good at 'wearing
masks'. Pink: A compassionate person who is fond of the arts. Darker
shades of pink may point to immaturity and irresponsibility.
White: Purity and honesty. A color associated with spiritually evolved
persons.
Silver: The person might be pregnant or is going to be soon! However,
this is not always so. Seeing this may indicate a person who is
allowing great creativity in their life.Sometimes you experience the interplay of an outside energy field
upon your aura. You can tell this is happening to you in the following circumstances:
When you are around some people and you feel 'drained' and weak.
When you feel there is someone staring at you intensely.
When you have an instant liking or disliking for someone you've just
met.
When you sense someone's presence before you saw this person.More On Auras--SOON!

EARTH IN UPHEAVAL by Immanuel Velikovsky
In his best-selling book Earth in Upheaval, historian Immanuel Velikovsky gave an account of what might be expected when the Earth tilts on it's axis:
'Let us assume, as a working hypothesis, that under the impact of a force or the influence of an agent - and the Earth does not travel in an empty universe - the axis of the earth shifted or tilted. At that moment an earthquake would make the globe shudder. Air and water would continue to move through inertia; hurricanes would sweep the Earth, and the seas would rush over continents, carrying gravel and sand and marine animals, and casting them onto land. Heat would be developed, rocks would melt, volcanoes would erupt, lava would flow from fissures in the ruptured ground and cover vast areas. Mountains would spring up from the plains and would climb and travel upon the shoulders of other mountains, causing faults and rifts. Lakes would be tilted and emptied, rivers would change their beds; large land areas and all their inhabitants would slip under the sea. Forests would burn, and the hurricanes and wild seas would wrest them from the ground on which they grew and pile them, branch and root, in heaps. Seas would turn into deserts, their waters rolling away.
'And if the change in the velocity of the diurnal rotation [slowing the planet down] should accompany the shifting of the axis, the water confined to the equatorial oceans by centrifugal force would retreat to the poles, and high tides and hurricanes would rush from pole to pole, carrying reindeers and seals to the tropics and desert lions to the Arctic, moving from the equator up to the mountain ridges of the Himalayas and down the African jungles; and crumbled rocks torn from splintering mountains would be scattered over large distances; and herds of animals would be washed from the plains of Siberia. The shifting of the axis would change the climate in every place, leaving corals in Newfoundland and elephants in Alaska, fig trees in northern Greenland and luxuriant forests in Antarctica. In the event of a rapid shift of the axis, many species and genera of animals on land and in the sea would be destroyed, and civilizations, if any, would be reduced to ruins.
