The Artwork of Karen and Norman Free Born in Yorkshire England area, Karen has been an artist all her life since a child. Studied art at the Thornes Park College England and specia;izes in watercolor and Gouache. Her image and paintings are based upon the emotions and connections of life and nature. She is fascinated with light, shadow, and contrast in bringing out visual impact pertaining to the connections between inner emotion and the connectiions of Mother Nature. This is very evident in her self portraits. Karen is also an accomplished photographer who also explores the art of seeing photographically. Karen also explores color into her paintings that is based upon the Pre-Raphaelites style that incorporates both watercolor and acrylic. She also explores landscapes into her painting when she feels that they can bring emotion or connections, or both to that landscape. Born in the Idaho Falls, Idaho area in the United States, Norman is a Professional Technical Industrial Photographer, who for the last 16 years has shot images for companies such as Lockheed martin, Bechtel, Rockwell International, just to name a few. Studied Photographic Arts and Sciences at Idaho State University and specializes in geometrical optics, high-speed photography, and digital imaging. Norman
is a diversified photographer who specializes in commercial, landscape,
stock, and strides towards fine art portraiture. His passion is
digital fantasy images that incorporate almost surrealistic landscape
with both self portraits and portraits of his soulmate Karen to
produce bodyscape images that pertain to the connections of the
soul and Mother Nature. Images that spark dreams and emotions
of putting yourself in another world. Both Karen and Norman relate all their work towards the process of becoming at One and at Peace with yourself and Mother Nature. That inner most self-awareness and spirituality producing serenity and peace and the connections to all things possible through nature. To lose your inner child will make you old before your time! Karen and Norman invite you to visit all their images in their Guest Gallery and on their upcoming website. Karen and I met here on Lionheart's 60s & Further site. What started out as a friendly conversation of art and photography, ended up going far beyond both our wildest dreams. We are two soulmates with a bonding that cannot be broken. The connections and passions we have towards each other and nature is what we base our artwork on. Karen is from the UK and I made arrangements for us to meet over here in the USA in Idaho. Besides both of us falling in love, Karen also fell in love with the vast diversity of the landscape that Idaho has to offer. We have decided to combine both our talents together to create the ultimate husband and wife team in portraying not only the connections towards each other, but the connections both of us have in becoming at One and at Peace with ourselves and Mother Nature. That inner power that connects us to all things possible and truly experiencing nature naturally. Many Blessings and we hope you enjoy our artwork! Karen and Norman Free September
