Welcome to the Ancient Wisdom Bookstore 2

This store is an awesome journey into the past. It is completely obvious that the knowledge brought forth through these ancient civilizations, thinkers, poet seer's, and philosophers formed the foundation of our present reality of thought. "Although I say from the past"..these civilizations are still with us today as a reminder of who we are today and where we came from. It's an interesting study ..and takes a lifetime to explore the ruins, the art and literature of times past--that has become very real today!

"It is obvious that something is not working properly. How else can we explain our mismanagement of resources and our own population, the pollution and destruction of our environment, or the mass murder of our own species? We cannot se the bigger picture and how we fit into it. We are no longer in our bodies; we are not in our 'right' mind. Robert E. Ornstein sees the problem this way:

"A shift toward a comprehensive consciousness of the interconnectedness of life, toward a relinquishing of the "every man for himself" attitude inherent in our ordinary construction f consciousness, might enable us to take those "selfless" steps that could begin to solve our collective problems. Certainly our culture has too severely emphasized the development of only one way of organizing reality."

Zecharia Sitchin

http://www.sitchin.com/

"I see my task, or maybe my mission, to bring to the knowledge of people today what the ancient people knew and believed in. To do so by being able to go to their sources and their writings and their depictions, and treating that material not as a myth but as a true story. Now, my writings have become a basis of quite a substantial literature. There are two dozen or more books that are based on my books. These are in theology, astrology, and so on and so forth, and I am sure there are many more about which I don't know. They refer to my writings or are based on them. I provide the facts as I see them, and everyone is free to interpret them as they wish."-Sitchin-

Mr. Sitchen believes that we are not alone in the universe. Going back over half a million a years the planet has been visited by UFO's and aliens who come here every 3,600 hundred years, from a place called Nibiru. These entities were not reptilian in nature, but were humanoid, genetically altering the hominid race that existed on the planet at that time, to look like them, think like them, and to learn from them. .
Zecharia Sitchin was born in Russia and raised in Palestine, where he acquired a profound knowledge of modern and ancient Hebrew, other Semitic and European languages, the Old Testament, and the history and archeology of the Near East. He is one of the few scholars who is able to read and understand Sumerian. Sitchin attended and graduated from the University of London, majoring in economic history. A leading journalist and editor in Israel for many years, he now lives and writes in New York. His books have been widely translated, converted to Braille for the blind, and featured on radio and television.

The Earth Chronicles series is based on the premise that mythology is not fanciful but the repository of ancient memories; that the Bible ought to be read literally as a historic/scientific document; and that ancient civilizations--older and greater than assumed--were the product of knowledge brought to Earth by the Anunnaki, "Those Who from Heaven to Earth Came." ...I trust that modern science will continue to confirm ancient knowledge.

The ancient cuneiform texts - some of the earliest known writing, dating back some 6,000 years - told the story of a race of beings called the Anunnaki. The Anunnaki came to Earth from a planet in our solar system called Nibiru, according to the Sumerians via Sitchin. If you've never heard of it, that's because mainstream science does not recognize Nibiru as one of the planets that revolves around our Sun. Yet it is there, claims Sitchin, and its presence holds great importance not only for humankind's past, but our future as well.
The peoples of ancient civilization, Sumerians, Egyptians, Akkadians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Hittites, Hebrews etc., in their sacred writings all describe gods that physically dwelt on Earth. This was aside from their writings on philosophy and mysticism.
According to the Sumerians these gods came from the planet Nibiru 'Planet of the Crossing.' The Assyrians and Babylonians called it 'Marduk', after their chief god. Sumerians said one year on planet Nibiru, a sar, was equivalent in time to 3600 earth years. They also said Anunnaki lifespans were 120 sars which is 120 x 3600 or 432,000 years.

I have placed the first 3 volumes of Zecharia's 6 volume series of his "Earth Chronicles" only.-LH-

The 12th Planet: Book I of the Earth Chronicles
by Zecharia Sitchin

Zecharia Sitchen's The 12th Planet is the starting point on a quest that spans six books and 20 years worth of ancient aliens, genetic manipulation, and scrutiny of linguistic minutiae. If we trust Sitchen's translation abilities, we must be prepared for the imminent return of an alien race who created us some 300,0x00 years ago. The 12th Planet is perhaps the best written of Sitchin's Earth Chronicles series; full of example after example of ancient Sumerian passages, astronomical observations, archaeological finds, and technological coincidences supporting his theories. The price we pay for all this evidence is a bit of a dry read at times, but the ideas Sitchin proposes are more than scintillating enough to make up for the overtly scholastic tone of his text.

The Stairway to Heaven: Book II of the Earth Chronicles
by Zecharia Sitchin

Since earliest times, humanity has pondered the incomprehensible mysteries of the universe, life...and the afterlife. Was there somewhere on Earth where, after death, mortal man could join the immortal Gods? Where was this place? By whom was it established? And does it still exist today?
After years of painstaking research -- combining recent archaeological discoveries with ancient texts and artifacts -- noted scholar Zecharia Sitchin has identified the legendary Land of the Gods...and provided astounding new revelations about the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and other mysterious monuments whose true meanings and purposes have been lost for eons.

The Wars of Gods and Men : Book III of the Earth Chronicles
by Zecharia Sitchin

Eons ago, the Earth was a battlefield. Mighty armies clashed, led by giant warriors meticulously skilled in the art of combat. These wars would shape man's destiny and live on for centuries in legend, song and religious lore -- brutal and terrible conflicts that began lifetimes earlier on another planet.
In the astonishing third volume of Zecharia Sitchin's The Earth Chronicles, the internationally renowned scholar parts the mists of myth and time to return to the violent beginnings of humanity -- employing ancient text, religious documents and archaeological findings to reconstruct epic events that support the existence of extraterrestrial "god" who once set nation against nation, army against army, and man against man.

Genesis Revisited
by Zecharia Sitchin

We have rediscovered atomic energy, space travel, biogenetics etc., knowledge of the Gods, which was in some occasions even presented and explained to mortal people (to Adam, Elmo, Lamech..) but was mostly exclusive proper of the Gods, but was detailed and written by the scribes and is also preserved in the Bible, although it is only a representation of its original form. The book should be read after you have finished at least first three volumes of the Earth Chroncles by Sitchin, because it was written later and there are many references to them, especially to the first book 12th Planet in terms of astronomical knowledge of Sumerians about our Solar system. Personally I liked the Phobos chapter the most - things Sitchin predicted almost ten years ago are coming into reality, perhaps slightly slower as he thought. We won't live long enough to welcome Nibiru. But it will come to us.

The Lost Book of Enki: Memoirs and Prophecies of an Extraterrestrial god
by Zecharia Sitchin

Where did we come from? How long ago? This book is a good start to answering some of those questions. It makes me wonder why archaeology hides what goes against the current view instead of giving us all the information and letting us decide for ourselves. If you read this book with an open mind you will come away with much knowledge. As with anything take what vibrates with you and leave the rest. That doesn't mean it's not right but not right for you at the moment. Do I agree with everything Sitchin has translated - No, but never say never as I have had to eat those words along my journey. If you don't buy into the main stream view of how we got here and how long we have been here you will really enjoy this book.
Sitchin only goes back into time approximately 450,000 years. Be prepared to have your mind expanded and answers to questions such as Who are we? Where did we come from? Why are we here? If you saw the movie "What the Bleep" you will love this book. Knowledge is power!

Fingerprints of the Gods : The Evidence of Earth's Lost Civilization
by Graham Hancock

Graham Hancock has simply published a book that forces us to question the validity of the information previously absorbed, and brings forward ideas from other people which have as much validity as the traditionally taught history of Egyptians or Mayans. The truth is, when the evidence presented by archaeologists, egyptologists, and other professionals is examined critically, the traditional school is very far from convincing. This does not mean that the general public is ignorant or gullible. It means that when we cannot build a replica of the Great Pyramid today, with our technology (the Japanese tried and failed, and theirs was a far smaller "scale" replica), but are expected to believe that copper-tools wielding Egyptians could (2.3 million blocks of stone; weights going from 1.5 tons to 15 and 17 tons; "killer" slope of 52 degrees; near perfect alignement; perfect 90-degree corners; perfectly cut diorite blocks, and so on), then is when inquisitive, intelligent people wonder, How is that possible? Since traditional science provides answers that prove usatisfactory because they really feel like nonsense, people will look for alternative scenarios. Graham Hancock provides such a scenario. His points are as solid, or more, than those of the now-accepted school of thought.

The Lost Continent's of MU, Atlantis & Lemuria

The idea of Mu first appeared in the works of the antiquarian Augustus Le Plongeon (1825–1908), a 19th century traveler and writer who conducted his own investigations of the Maya ruins in Yucatán. He announced that he had translated the ancient Mayan writings, which supposedly showed that the Maya of Yucatán were older than the later civilizations of Atlantis and Egypt, and additionally told the story of an even older continent of Mu, which had foundered in a similar fashion to Atlantis, with the survivors founding the Maya civilization. (Later students of the Ancient Maya writings have found that Le Plongeon's "translations" were based on little more than his vivid imagination.)

This lost continent was later popularised by James Churchward (1852–1936) in a series of books, beginning with Lost Continent of Mu (1931, not 1926). The books still have devotees, but they are not considered serious archaeology, and nowadays are found in bookshops classed under 'New Age' or 'Religion and Spirituality'.

Actual publications in turkish press[1] point out that Turkey's Independence War leader Ataturk took great efforts in the later 30s in gathering information considering the lost continent MU in the hope to find the missing link between the cultural parallelities between the source of turkish civilizations, the uyghur and Indian - Maya and Aztec culture.

The Lost Continent of Mu
by Col. James Churchward

Mu, the Motherland, a lost culture which was the center of civilization some 25,000 years ago. A vanished continent which sent Colonel James Churchward on a lifetime's search, from the vaults of an Indian temple to Australia, from Siberia to the South Seas.
In 1868, while serving with the British Army in India, Churchward became close friends with a high temple priest who taught him how to decipher numerous stone tablets which had lain hidden for centuries in temple vaults. They told of a vast civilation which had emerged, flourished and decayed long before our own: the Continent of Mu.
This is Churchward's story of how he followed the trail of Mu to the ends of the earth and pieced together the picture of a civilization, guided by religious principles, whose influence is still felt throughout the world - though now lost in the mists of time...Mu, the Motherland.
Mu was an immense continent covering nearly one-half of the Pacific Ocean. When she sank during volcanic destruction, fifty million square miles of water claimed her place. This vast continent and culture was the center of civilization some , years ago. This is the story of Churchwards search for the lost continent, from the vaults of an Indian temple to the four corners of the world.

The Children of Mu
by Col. James Churchward

In this, his second book, Churchward tells the story of the colonial expansion of Mu and the influence of the highly developed Mu culture on the rest of the world. Her first colonies were in North America and the Orient, while other colonies had been started in India, Egypt and Yucatan.

Atlantis & Lemuria

The story of Atlantis begins quite literally with two of Plato's dialogues, Timaeus and Critias. These accounts are the only known written records which refer specifcally to a lost civilization called Atlantis. Many people believe the tale to be complete fiction, the creation of a philosopher's imagination used to illustrate an argument. Others believe that the story was inspired by catastrophic events which may have destroyed the Minoan civilization on Crete and Thera. Still others maintain that the story is an accurate representation of a long lost and almost completely forgotten land.

Lemuria was an ancient civilization which existed prior to and during the time of Atlantis. Physically, it is believed that Lemuria existed largely in the Southern Pacific, between North America and Asia/Australia. Lemuria is also sometimes referred to as Mu, or the Motherland (of Mu). At its peak of civilization, the Lemurian people were both highly evolved and very spiritual. While concrete physical evidence of this ancient continent may be difficult to find, many people "know" that they have a strong connection to Lemuria.

The Atlantis Dialogue: Plato's Original Story of the Lost City, Continent, Empire
by Plato

This is the source of the whole tale. The translation is 19th century, so if you prefer a more modern style English, you should perhaps look for another book. But I like this old style, long sentences with lots of punctuation marks; kind of varies the pace more than the modern, boring way the language is written--don't you think? Another plus is that it has brought out only the parts from Critias and Timaeus that deal with Atlantis (adn Athens), making it compact.

Atlantis, the Antediluvian World
by Ignatius Donnelly

Whether or not you think there was an Atlantis, this work should be read on account of the breath of insight which typifies some (not all) 19th century scholars. Professors today are often incapable of such writing because their feild of study is too narrow. It is packed with exerpts from hard to find texts from the ancient world. The analysis is graceful and intriguing, and it is hard to set the book down.

The History of Atlantis
by Lewis Spence

The romantic legend of Atlantis has captured imaginations since Plato first told of a glorious island in the Atlantic that sank beneath the waves. Speculation has abounded ever since, and scientists who formerly dismissed the possibility that Atlantis ever existed were obliged to reconsider--partly because of the author of this book. Lewis Spence (1874-1955) wrote five books about Atlantis, and this one is considered his best. Spence sifted through a tremendous body of research in fields from mythology and comparative religion to geography, geology, and archeology. The result is the most authoritative study ever published on the history, geography, animal life, government, and religion of this fabled island.

Atlantis
by Shirley Andrews

The author definitely went above and beyond in researching this book. This book attempts to explain every shred of evidence of Atlantis througout the ages and present a picture of what the supposed lost continent was like. It's an excellent book for anyone curious about Atlantis.

Edgar Cayce

Atlantis and Lemuria
by Rudolf Steiner

There was a time when a continent called Atlantis still lay between Europe and America. This portion of the world’s surface was at one time land; this land now forms the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Plato alluded to the last remaining remnant of that lost continent when he sopke of the Island of Poseidon. Countless publications are dedicated to proving that Atlantis existed and attempt to discover the location of the Lost Continent. Here, accepting the existence of Atlantis, the author pontificates on the spiritual condition of soul attempts to indicate the inner nature of the conditions under which they lived. An interesting discourse on the evolution of the Atlantean and Leumurian race as revealed by the Akashic records.

Edgar Cayce's Atlantis and Lemuria: The Lost Civilizations in the Light of Modern Discoveries
by Frank Joseph

Twenty-four centuries after Plato left us his intriguing remarks about Atlantis, Edgar Cayce began to talk, in an altered psychic state, about a lost civilization on Lemuria, Atlantis' Pacific precurser. Frank Joseph now takes a look, via archeology and other fields, at how modern discoveries are bolstering the idea that Atlantis and Lemuria really existed, the disturbing parallels between those civilizations and our own, and what those parallels may be telling us.

The Lost Land of Lemuria : Fabulous Geographies, Catastrophic Histories
by Sumathi Ramaswamy

During the nineteenth century, Lemuria was imagined as a land that once bridged India and Africa but disappeared into the ocean millennia ago, much like Atlantis. A sustained meditation on a lost place from a lost time, this elegantly written book is the first to explore Lemuria's incarnations across cultures, from Victorian-era science to Euro-American occultism to colonial and postcolonial India. The Lost Land of Lemuria widens into a provocative exploration of the poetics and politics of loss to consider how this sentiment manifests itself in a fascination with vanished homelands, hidden civilizations, and forgotten peoples. More than a consideration of nostalgia, it shows how ideas once entertained but later discarded in the metropole can travel to the periphery--and can be appropriated by those seeking to construct a meaningful world within the disenchantment of modernity. Sumathi Ramaswamy ultimately reveals how loss itself has become a condition of modernity, compelling us to rethink the politics of imagination and creativity in our day.

In Search Of Lemuria
by Mark R. Williams

In Search Of Lemuria: The Lost Pacific Continent In Legend, Myth And Imagination by journalist, editor, and freelance writer Mark Williams is a serious and fascinating look at the lost continent of Lemuria as reflected in the mythologies of Hindus, Australian Aborigines, Polynesians and American Indians. As mystical as Atlantis yet far less well-known, Lemuria's very existence is presented as an open question, and addressed in a thoughtful and well-reasoned discourse. A fascinating and spiritual treatise that embraces metaphysical understanding as well as that of hard science, In Search Of Lemuria is enthusiastically recommended to students of mythology, metaphysics, and paleoarchaeology.
