Welcome to the 60s Philosophy Bookstore 1
"Speaking
for myself, it seems that the call of the Gypsy Queen or being a
Hippie or part of the Counter Culture will continue beyond our generation. This
gives credence that the movement wasn't just a fluke or fad (as we all know
it wasn't). Todays generation of 'Truth Seekers' will carry the torch when we
all head
toward that bright light and have as big of a struggle as we did, I believe.
I'm
happy to see that they've chosen the path of peace and love and hope for
a
world not based on greed and power over others. We need to keep that in mind
always. We have a lifetime of experiences but that doesn't make us owners of
the movement, but merely participants. I'm sure we all thought that we'd be
able to pass on to our brothers and sisters a better world. As hard as we have
worked, the struggle still has a very long way to go."
Peace,
Vaughn
(Daytona Beach, Florida-2005)
I have started
out with what may be considered "Hippie Stepping Stones and Doorways"
books we read and shared with our friends during the 60s.
I will
be updating the 60s Philosophy Bookstores every six months or every year
as more and more authors are finally surfacing that can now talk, write and
muse
about our struggle and our joy from that time and NOW!
So please check back often.
So please enjoy.

Again these "classics"
are by no means a complete collection
I will keep adding as thyme goes by.
These titles above were, however, instrumental in getting us to think about
what was going on..what had been going on, and taught us more than anything,
to question authority and open our minds.
I also have to remind you that before you
can understand the 60s
you may want to travel through our Beat Generation
Bookstore first..
as that is where we started as a generation to understand.
